Firm Overview

 Common sense. Uncommon service.

Michel Gray is a full-service property tax law firm, with 100+years of property tax and real estate experience among its principals.  This background, along with our legal skills and valuation knowledge, gives us the ability to understand and navigate all angles of property tax issues.  This is true for even the most complex properties and most challenging situations.  If there is a single characteristic that describes Michel Gray it is the desire to serve, to serve first.  Understanding the needs of our clients is a priority commitment for us.

Listen. Learn. Serve.

One of the most sincere forms of respect is actually listening to what another has to say.  MG believes that no one knows their property better than the owner.  We listen to your needs, we learn from your knowledge and we strive to serve.

Integrity.

Integrity is about character- trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind…More than anything else, it is about how we treat people. We believe you should never be proud of doing the right thing, you should just do it.

Commitment to Taxpayers.

MG’s partners are recognized as two of the leading advocates for taxpayer rights in Texas.  Ms. Michel serves as Chair of the Government Relations Committee of the Texas Association of Property Tax Professionals(TAPTP), the leading advocate of taxpayer rights in the state.  Mr. Gray serves as membership chair for TAPTP, and is chair of TAPTP PAC’s fundraising committee.

Love of Community.

MG’s founding lawyers remain extensively involved in their communities, both in Austin and throughout Texas. Ms. Michel is well known for her advocacy on behalf of homeless pets, and has long been a champion of the preservation of property rights. Mr. Gray has served in various roles with the Boy Scouts of America, from Scoutmaster to Board President of the Capitol Area Council, BSA.  From his position on the CAC Executive Committee, Mr. Gray continues to be a driving force in providing Scouting to at-risk youth throughout Central Texas.
